These terms govern your use of Drivebase — both the open-source software and the managed cloud service at cloud.drivebase.io. By using either, you agree to these terms.
The open-source software
Drivebase is released under the MIT License. You are free to self-host, modify, and distribute it in accordance with that license. The license text, which governs your use of the source code, is available in the project repository.
The managed cloud service
The hosted service lets us run and maintain a Drivebase instance for you. To use it you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis through our payment provider, Polar.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Plan prices and resource allocations may change; we will give reasonable notice of material changes.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Drivebase to:
- Violate any law or infringe the rights of others;
- Store or distribute content you do not have the right to handle;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' instances.
Your content and providers
You retain all rights to your files and to the storage accounts you connect. Drivebase acts on your instructions to browse and transfer files between the providers you authorize. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and move that content.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the cloud service for violations of these terms or to protect the service and its users. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drivebase will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the software or service. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
